Played this course today and found the layout interesting. The greens, tee boxes and fairways around the club house were in good shape. However the rest of course's greens, tee boxes and fairways were in terrible shape.
Staff is always friendly and helpful. I had a great time during a solo outing here last week. Walked 18 during twilight for about $14. You can't beat it, definitely one of my greatest golfing values ever. There's a good mix of short and long holes, some more challenging than others, but overall a pretty interesting design. The fairways & greens are in decent enough shape for a public course and If you want to see what real disrepair looks like, head over to "cream ridge" a few miles away. A decent course but maintenance leaves a LOT to be desired. Some of the fairways there resemble more of a moon-scape than a golf course.
Staff was great, friendly and helpful. Course layout and scenery was nice. Was disappointed in course maintenance though. Hitting the ball just a foot the fairway meant spending a good amount of time trying to find your ball buried in clover and thick weeds. Besides that, it was a good experience, fun course to play, but the bad shape that the rough was in made for a frustrating day.
I love coming out at 3 during the week and walking 18, great scenery and an easy walk. Lots of fun holes. For $14 you can't beat it, sure some people don't fix their ball marks on the green but its a public course and tell me one public course where every one does. The greens roll true though. Staff is very friendly and I always have a great time when I come play here.
Played here yesterday. Overall, it's a nice course for the money. Few short holes, few shot making holes. Tee boxes were the worst I've seen all year. Doesn't look like they put a lot into there maintenance. Greens were in decent shape. Missing the fairway on a couple of holes could mean hitting from pretty hard ground. But I would definitely play it again.
Tee boxes need to be re-seeded. Greens are very bumpy, and need to be cut. Overall though a fun place to play and provides great opportunity to shoot low. Bar and grill is top notch. As other reviewers have said can be a slow round with some of the hackers out there.
