This was probably one of the most disappointing Courses that I've played in Central Florida. Not only was the staff unresponsive to my problem, but the Greens were virtually unputtable. If you're searching for an enjoyable day on the Links, move on from here, my friend, move on!
Fairways and Greens were in pretty good shape. The tee boxes and Rough was in bad shape. The layout was good however not worth $48 when you can play other (better condition) courses in Orlando for less than $35.
Absolutely terrible management. Offered a bundle package via email. You must prepay and they do not provide rules or policies until you have paid and pick up your card so you blindly are buying it without knowing policies. Long story short, they offer no rainchecks only to save $5 per round. I'd rather pay full price and have the comfort of knowing I can get a refund if it rains. One guy didn't show up and they wouldn't even give me a refund on his round or a raincheck! No water coolers on golf course (really, this is FL). Cart girl rarely available. Golf course is on decline. You can tell less money is being budgeted for maintenance. I have played this course since it opened and have watched it deteriorate each and every year. Was one of the nicest courses but probably one of the most poorly managed now. Stay away!
I should mention my rating reflects a little bit of over-hype from a friend. I think maybe he meant to go to Stoneybrook West?? I think this course has great potential though. It was just in rough shape. Maybe it's b/c it's winter.. they let it go a bit?? There was no sandboxes on the carts, no window, cobwebs, and the bag cover was all ripped up and rusty on the back of the cart. Being there was no sand the place was pot-marked with divot holes. It looked like the moon out there. Maybe the let it go in the winter?? Seemed a shame. The greens were rough too. Made them super slow. This group runs another course here where I live and there are 2 to the club. One is really good the other average. So I'm wondering what Stoneybrook West is like now.
