PLAYED THE COURSE TODAY 03-17-2010. LAST TIME I PLAYED WAS A YEAR AGO AND IT'S GETTING WORSE BY THE DAY. FAIRWAYS WERE HARD THEN AND ARE HARD NOW. THE GREENS... ARE REALLY BAD. THEY HAVE LET IT GO. LOTS OF DRY SPOTS.I PAID $2O AND FELT CHEATED! SO IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO SPEND MORE.... THINK TWICE. I WOULD WAIT AT LEAST A COUPLE OF MONTHS BEFORE PLAYING AGAIN. EMPLOYEES AND STARTER WERE VERY NICE. TOO BAD THE COURSE IN SUCH BAD SHAPE.THIS WAS MY EARLIER COMMENTS ON MARCH 15, 2009... PLAYED THE COURSE LAST WEEK. IT WAS RENOVATED LESS THAN A YEAR AGO AND YOU CAN TELL IS A MUNICIPAL COURSE. THE FAIRWAYS ARE GETTING HARD. NEEDS MORE WATERING! TIGHT COURSE, GREENS WERE GOOD CONDITION. I WOULD GIVE IT A SECOND CHANCE. NICE STAFF!
Please bear in mind that my rating is based on the front 9 only. We were rained out one day and had to make up the round 9 holes at a time over the course of 2 days. Unfortunately, as our rounds were very early ones, the back 9 wasn't finished with it's morning grooming. As muni tracks go, this one is solid. We scored a great rate on golfnow.com for our original afternoon tee time and they didn't up-charge us much for our rainchecks (which again, were early morning rounds). The clubhouse is nice, and they have an AWESOME restaurant on site as well. Carts were electric and in nice shape. Staff was friendly and accomodating. The course was in ok shape, but we cut them some slack due to the recent frosts and heavy rains. The starter said he's lived in Orlando since 1969, and this is the worst winter he can recall. They do a nice job here with bunker maintenance and fairway manicuring. The edging is near perfect and the cart paths are all poured concrete (nice). There are a handful of forced carries over water, but the real trouble is lateral. A little left or right can get you jammed up, quick. Choose the right tees and be mindful of your club selection here. Alot of places don't require driver...
