St. Croix Valley Golf Course

This is a gem of a course, nestled in a beautifully wooded glacial area near the St Croix River's Dalles area and Wisconsin's Interstate Park.

The staff does an exceptional job caring for the grounds. The greens are as nice as any Twin Cities' courses and, with the tree-lined fairways and crowned greens, the format is similar to the U of M's Les Bolstad's course. Playing the whites and then the blue tees makes for a nice round.

This is a family course. Children are welcome, yet the pace of play is great. And it's a great bargain with rates for seniors and juniors.

This is a delightful and challenging "old design" course with rolling fairways and crowned greens, beautifully maintained by the staff. Be prepared to negotiate 200 year old oak trees on every hole. No sand traps but plenty of variable lies. The scenery is incredible and it's not unusual to see a deer wander into your fairway during the round.
This is a course you will not master, nor ever become bored with...and it demands precision placement shots on every hole. Value-wise, it can't be beat. Suggestion: unless you're in great shape, rent a cart...you'll enjoy your round more.
