I find the course to be a fine challenge with a premium on tee shots. If you get out position, expect to play a difficult approach. In fact, there are holes where an otherwise fine looking tee shot turns out to be not quite fine enough, but that is a character trait of the course and makes it fun. It is very hilly and a good walk. The greens have been historically good, reasonably large and fairly fast; but, vandalism from neighborhood kids is taking its toll, more recently. Bunkers abound but are in pretty bad shape with rocks and inconsistent care and maintenance; and the drainage is rather poor, making fairways hit or miss - no pun intended - they are just spotty; however, summertime improves conditions but then brown spots become an issue. The club membership is down, but those who are there are very friendly and an enjoyable lot with whom to play. In months past, the entire staff were very friendly and helpful. There has been turnover recently, though and a new group has been handed management responsibility, so perhaps better things are on offer. If you have an opportunity to play the course, do so and bring a 3-metal. You can use it a lot, and it might be wise. The course is actually a bit longer now than listed above, with recent tee boxes having been added. The slope is up too.http://www.golflink.com/golf-courses/course.aspx?course=1307056
