Cedar Ridge Golf Course

I felt this needed to be updated. Since the other reviews the prairie dogs are gone. The new pro Jared Barnes does an amazing job with the course and it is in great shape. The greens are remarkable and there has been a ton of improvements since the prairie dog removal. The pro shop staff is top shelf and the price is very reasonable. If you are in the area stop by and check it out. Other than a few times that i have played there the pace of play is good, and people are really good to let you through if you do catch them.

This course has some of the most beautiful scenery that you will ever see. The condition is rough because of the protected prairie dogs (pretty cool little animals though) but the layout/design is great. If you are going to play here, I would highly recommend getting a golf lesson from the PGA Professional there, Mr. John Evans. He will most likely be retiring in the next couple of years, so do it soon- you will be glad that you did. He knows more about the golf swing than 99% of the teaching professionals in the entire world and he would be a household name like Hank Haney if he hadn't been in Cedar City all of these years. He coached the Southern Utah University golf team for many years and will absolutely improve your game with one lesson. He is a true genius concerning the game.
