The course is in great shape considering the former ownership had let it fall apart. The new ownership has completely renovated the course and the atmosphere is very laid back. The Gold Tees play over 7,200 yards and is a nice challenge for single-handicappers as well as a great opportunity to hit your long irons and woods throughout the day. Lengthy Par 3's and 5's are a nice challenge as well.
If you haven't played this course in a while you should give it a try, the new owners have worked their @$!*% off to bring this course back and have done a really great job. these are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet and you cant beat the price. If you need a country club experience go somewhere else but if your looking for a nice hassle fee day of golf at a good price this is the place.
Owners have been working hard to be bring this course back, since the drought a few years back. The greens are rolling good and I look forward to the grass turning green to see what we have. I would give this facility a very much improved grade. Keep it up Creekview!
For the price it's not too bad of a course. Some greens and fairways need quite a bit of work but some holes are pretty decent. Wide open course with quite a bit of water to deal with. Can get pretty windy there.
I used to play this course all the time, however, it appears like they may have fired the maintenance crew. It shows lack of watering on the fairway and the greens. Actually the only way to tell the difference between the greens and the bunkers is that the greens are flat. Dirt and vegitation are plentiful in both. I would stay away until they get their act together.
I took a girl out here for a first date since she was into golf... The conditions were horrible. I’ve seen more vegetation on the side of a mountain.. Needless to say I am no longer dating the girl.. :( so if you want to keep a healthy relationship stay away from this course!!
I began playing this course in March of 2008. At this point the course was in great shape. Particularly the greens. Due to a lack of water and daily maintenance it is now in horrible condition. Don't waste your time or money.
I live 5 minutes from this course and have played it for years. It has completely gone to crap in the last few months. The greens are 70-80% dirt. The bunkers are filled with knee high grass. The rough is a pasture with knee high grass and the fairways are not much better. I would not pay a dime to play this course in it's current condition. I'll drive 20 or 30 minutes to play on an actual golf course.
Ten of us drove drove down to this course about 15 miles from down town Dallas. We all agreed this was the best day of golf we have had this year. Great staff, cold beer and Champion burmuda greens (really large greens 8000-10000 sqft) putted true. These green must be running 10-12.Cant make this run from Mckinney every day but will try for at least 2-3 times a month.
