The course itself is very nice and quite challenging (especially the back). Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. The reason for the low rating is that in my first experience with this course, the marshall on the course pushed us (a 4some) 3 times to keep up with a 3some in front of us. And several times we were waiting on that 3some. While I admit that I am not a great golfer, I do play fast and typically within 3.5 - 4 hours. There are many other courses in Dallas to try so I have no desire to go back to Coyote Ridge. I'm sure you will have a better experience if you play on a day this incopetent marshall is not on the course
This is a great course. You are silly not to play this course. This is a semi-private course that treats every golfer as if they were a life member. This course does it right. Their prices are exceptional given the level of service they provide. The owner of this course plays it once a week and makes surprise visits to keep the staff on their toes. The course is challenging. The front 9 will suck you in with a false sense of security, then the back 9 will bite you hard. You will tell your friends about hole number 10 for the rest of your life. Bring your "A" game or else bring extra balls. The course is always in excellent condition. Combination of tight and wide fairways with lots of changes in elevation. The par threes are target shooting holes. Lots of challenges but not impossible. Read the greens carefully. All aspects of the course are in excellent condition. All the carts have GPS and are accurate, plus they give excellent course information. The only minor negatives is that the driving range is mats only.It is hard to practice your driving from the mats as their is no rubber tee and the mat will not hold a tee. The chipping area and the very large practice putting area can be overly wet.The other fantastic positives are - The staff is friendly and accomodating. The bag drop off is easy to find. The staff greet you, take your clubs from your car, ask your name, and load your clubs on a cart. They ask the name your party. They clean your clubs after the round. On a hot day the staff gives you cold ice towel to cool off. The cart girls are beautiful and friendly. Did I mention the cart girls are gorgeous? The restaurant / bar /grill is one of the nicest you will eat /drink in- it is even fancier than many of the nearby over $100 per round courses nearby & much less expensive. As you recuperate from your round, you can relax your eyes on the pretty & friendly wait staff. The pro shop is well stocked. The pro shop staff is always friendly and ready to answer any question you have.Stop reading already and go play this course!
Coyote Ridge Golf Course is a very challenging course and fun requiring the golfer to use all facets of their game. Although, North Texas is facing one of its worst drought in years and I was amazed by the condition of the course. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were green, lust and in great shape compared to other courses in the DFW. I played another course in Dallas recently and they are down to just watering their tee boxes and greens due to a lack of water. But not the case at Coyote Ridge plus the maintenance men were actively cutting the grass and repairing the divot marks throughout the day. I was a member of a private course for several years and I never witness this much attention to detail as I witnessed at Coyote Ridge, even the restrooms on the course were high quality. I highly recommend the course for golfers looking to play a great course but the cart girls are gorgeous with a great attitude.
One of the best deals for the money. We come to Dallas once a month and almost always play here. Nice clubhouse, pro shop and attractive bartenders and cart girls. Course has always been in good shape and challenging. Just like the previous reviews, it is like playing two different courses.
Nice challenging course which is usually in good condition. Service is good as well, and the food in the restaurant is the absolute best I've ever had at any golf course (we often eat there even on days when we play elsewhere). Recommended.
