My boo and I played it today. Well priced, super layout; however, the greens were incredibly bad. Something has gone wrong somewhere. The very, very, very rude pro shop guy said it was because of the cool weather; however, we've played all the surrounding courses and see no other greens, anywhere, that remotely resemble the poor condition of those at Split Rail. If I didn't already mention, the pro shop guy was an @$!*%, to a friend of ours a couple of weeks ago, to me and my boo today, and to the 2 cops who played behind us today. Not sure why the club would want this guy representing their brand, but he's there nevertheless. We'll probably play again because it's a great layout, but will not be as often as I would like because of the @$!*% and the greens.

Great scenic course that offers fun challenges. It helps to be long off the tee and have some course knowledge. It is a course you should play a few times to appreciate and get a better score. Sand traps are the only thing keeping it form being top notch course but I understand they are scheduled to be worked on soon. It is in the best shape it has ever been in as of summer and fall of 2013. Give it a play...you will be glad you did!

I really like this course. It's tough but if you're hitting it well off the tee you can have a good round here. If you're having a bad day striking the ball you could be in for a really big number because there are a lot of mounds covered in waisthigh and very thick grass. Hit into one you're pretty much guaranteed a lost ball. The course is long too, playing 7353 yards from the tips. Everytime I've played the course it's been in excellent condition and it's never been crowded. It's a course I never get tired of playing!
