When we arrived at this course, we were excited to see the lovely surroundings and great condition of the course, and on a beautiful fall afternoon, we wondered why no one was playing. We soon found out. This is one of the screwiest layouts I have ever come across. And that's the only reason why this course doesn't get 4 or 5 stars, because the staff couldn't be more friendly, the views from all over the course are terrific, it is cheap at $25, and it is maintained in fine condition. This course is wedged into the sides of steep, curving ridges, resulting in blind shots on more than half the holes and very narrow fairways and greens with drop-offs on one side and steep hillsides rising above the other. This is a course that must be payed many, many times in order to learn how to play it safely; the unfamiliar golfer is going to be surprised and frustrated. First-time golfers will shoot at least 10 strokes higher than their average - but they'll do so in gorgeous surroundings.
