Great Golf Course. No houses, good conditioning and a routing and design built by a guy who knows what hes doing. Unlike the Divide and Emerald Lake who were Routed and designed by hillbilly landscaping companies and have $500.000 homes way to close, this course has a solid foundation and when the conditioning is good, its one of Charlottes best.

I caddied for a pro durring a Tarheel tour event here and he said it is one of Charlottes best layouts, and I agree. You can shine a turd but guess what.... its still a turd.

This course is close to home and the shop is run by a bunch of good ol country boys. As of now, it has been terribly hot and humid and the water has dried out the greens a little bit. The teeboxes could be cut a little better, and the bunkers could maybe use a little fresh sand. But i play this course all the time, has a great $27 deal after 2pm, and for the price, i come here all the time.. it beats out all other courses in the area price-wise. Dont come here expecting a great course because its not, if it were, youd be paying more than twice as much for your round... so take that into consideration. Come to this course if you are looking for a superb round of golf while keeping money in your wallet.

I play this course all the time just because it is close to home and I have to say for what it is worth it is a really nice course. If you are used to playing high class country clubs all the time then you definitely will not enjoy play at this place. But, the people there are friendly and the course itself is difficult and original. The one problem I saw recently is that they lost their good greens, I am pretty sure though it is because of the heat and humidity.
