I have to respond to the july 2013 comment. I'm the course manager and co-owner (not dead). I'll admit to not being very computer literate, which is why it took me almost three years to respond to the july 2013 comment. In july 2013, the course was so inundated with rain that my brother, the profane co-owner, spent a great deal of effort making a cart path for almost the entire course. he used a lot of ropes and flags and it was abundantly clear to any reasonable, responsible person where to drive his golf cart. The july 2013 writer, however was an exception and my brother had to tell him three different times in five holes, to stay in the cart path. On either the third, or fourth time, my brother gave this guy the heave ho. Now, I remember this, because in my thirteen years of running this course, he is the only person who we have ever kicked off the course. I'm not counting the guys who jumped in their cart and drove across the fourth green on their way to the first tee. I only told them that they lost the privilege of the driving cart, but they left because they didn't want to walk, or couldn't. just as well. Anyway, sorry about my brother's language, but next time, follow the rules, instead of having to be reminded more than once. You have to take responsibility for your actions and use some common sense.
Oh, there was a fellow who drove his cart almost over the stone wall on the 8th hole. He left the cart on top of the stone wall and went home without mentioning the parked cart, but he would have been a candidate for expulsion, had we caught him in the act. And the guy who played seven holes wearing baseball spikes, until I frantically caught up to him. We didn't give him the boot either, but other courses might. I'm thinking Augusta National here. I could write a book. Bill Sylvester

Some reviews would make you think the management is rude. Most guests playing the course would beg to differ with that opinion. It appears to me that this reviewer had decided to ignore the markers placed on the course to divert carts around areas that were left wet and muddy do to the extremely wet summer season. Probably the same guy who never fixes a divot or repairs the ball marks on the greens.

Although not the most scenic of courses it offers the player an easy walk at a very reasonable greens fee. The walk maybe easy but the scoring can be a challenge for the lowest of handicappers'. The greens are small and can be difficult to hit and hold. A good short game will be the key to a low score. The course was designed for mostly iron play and using a driver off the tee doesn't offer any great advantages.

In the past few years the management has worked hard to make course improvements offering new challenges as well as help speed up the pace of play.

As it should be with most 9 hole courses no tee time is required. Making it easy to fit a round into your schedule. I have never waited more than 15 minutes to tee off.

The course has a practice area for putting and bunker play, as well as a driving range with reasonable rates for range balls.

All and all the course is a great value and a refreshing break from the over rated and over crowed premium courses in the area.

Long time owner died a couple of years ago and his rude, profane brother inherited the course. Avoid at all costs. First time I have ever walked off a course in 45 years. Course should have been closed due to standing water - instead, new owner berated us three times with foul language for not seeing tiny red flags at 7 PM in near dark - with language I cannot repeat. Complete psycho. Stay away unless you can tolerate abuse.
