Great course! Well maintained and challenging track. If you are anywhere near central Kansas then it is well worth stopping in Newton Kansas to play Sand Creek Station
Best course I have played so far!
Ok, I have to give this course real credit.....Its a great course....The range is really nice...the hitting area needs a little maintenance. a little bumpy.....but still an A plus....I love how they have multiple targets out there also....with the ranges given.....This is how it should be......The fairways were great, maybe a little dry, but you could still take a divot....The greens were really nice and well maintained.....A little slow for a really nice course, but the locals said they were quite slower than normal....So I bet this course is really difficult when these greens are fast....So I give the greens an A, the fairways an A, the tee boxes an A....difficulty an A....scenery is an A......and the cost was great, but this is Kansas.....The carts I give an A....GPS is great....Now the only thing that kind of irked me was , I was here from out of town and so I had to rent clubs.....These clubs I give a D.......The driver was lofted to 12 degrees...I think it was a ladys driver.....The set had no hybrids and was missing an 8 iron...The putter was from the 1920's......Now when I called they said the sets they had were not more than a year old.....wtf??? These clubs were either sent through hell and back 100 times or they were like 10-15 yrs old..Maybe this set is not typical of the others, I dont know...Other than this if I lived here in Newton, I would definitely have a membership at this course.......
Nice range provided. Very challenging course with killer rough. Greens were very true. They were recovering from flooding early in the week. Overall- course was in excellent condition. Course knowledge helpful.
