Overall, this course presents the best value for money in Houston area. For 30$ we teed off on Sunday at 1 pm. The course itself is in great shape, especially the greens. They are rolled smooth as silk, firm and runs around 11-12 on the stimp meter, so it's really fast. As comparison, I played on Redstone the week after the Shell Houston Open and it runs about the same speed. Green is undulated but not crazy like Jersey Meadow's. If it's windy hitting close to the hole on approach shots, or chip are impossible unless you can shape your shots to hold the wind. Fairways are in great condition, but extremely tough. Practically no flat surface there, so you have to shape your drive so it won't roll left or right into the water that lines practically all the holes. A couple of holes have blind drives that rolls forward to creeks, so if you hit it too long, it will end up in the water as well. A good drive will leave you short of the water, but on a sideway downhill lie. A tough lie for most golfers. So if you're a beginner, I suggest not playing this course, it will just frustrates you. A low double digit, or single digit player will love it.
