Top 5 Public Golf Course in the Chicago-land Area! From the moment you get out of your car, you are greeted by a friendly, competent, and knowledgeable staff. You almost feel like your at a private club.

As for the course...Richard Nugent's Gem ~ Characterized by the opposing Nines; The front nine offers a meandering and hilly stroll through the woods of Woodridge. Great start to warm up your chops for the quick and true greens, only to get ready for the back nine. Back starts with 3 tough holes that all have crowned fairways and surrounding water (Dupage River and lakes) is everywhere. Tough, but with 4 tees to choose from, every level of golfer can enjoy the challenge. One of the best and well kept public golf courses in Illinois.

Tough but fair. A bit overpriced but most Chicago courses are. I have played here three times and found it to be in my top ten for Chicagoland. There are much better values in the area but you won't find a more interesting public course.

Great golf course in great condition. The back nine is difficult with all the water, but fun to play. I enjoyed how scenic the course was. After our round we had drinks at their outdoor resturant "The Dock". It has a very nice atmosphere and I can see myself returning just to eat dinner out there. Overall, it was a good experience.
