Terrible would be a understatement. People working there were rude . Apparently they say they do not make any money when people use golf link also they just aerated the greens which was not posted on golf link . Also the greens were nothing but dirt . This place should be closed and repaired before they charge people to play there.
Played here now twice in the last 3 months and have been quite impressed. As far as value greens fees this takes the cake in the Palm Coast area. Greens are truly impressive with hardly a blemish on them and some very severe undulation on a few holes (#6 and #7 come to mind). From the tips a few of the holes can be quite challenging. Not a ton of water but bunkers are numerous. Looking forward to coming back many times!
We played late in the afternoon in the summer for like $25. Informed no rainchecks on that rate because it's the bargain rate. We were lucky, no rain. The carts need to be replaced. The brakes and steering no longer work, so carts are not safe. The GPS was removed long ago from all carts. There are not enough yardage markers on the course. You have to eyeball it. There are several signs that refer to the GPS but it's long gone. Fairways and men's tees in good shape. Fringes of greens and some greens in rough shape. Overall, they need to cut the grass. We lost balls in the fairways and in the grass bordering the fairways. All holes lined by homes. So, the scenery is marginal at best. I'm glad we only paid the $25 a head. This is not a premium course. It may have been at one time but not now. Management here is selling memberships and treating it as a country club course. It is not on a par with many of the public courses in the area. They might want to lower the rate year round, make some money and reopen the Matanzas course as well. But, then, their strategic planning is not my concern. We will not be adding this course to our weekly golf rotation. There are too many other public courses in the area that offer more for the money.
I found the course to be fun to play not really difficult as long as you can keep it relatively straight. My parents bought a home on the course and I just happened to eagle the hole they live on.. a great experience with my dad
