Our trial lawyer's association has an annual tournament at Cheval, and the course is fantastic - both beautiful and challenging given the natural (trees, wetlands) and man-made (sand traps) obstacles.
New management has really turned this place around. Best condition in years and a real value for members and the public. Great athletic facility and quality restaurant round out the exprerience.
What a great course. Finally got a chance to play here as a member for a day and was not disappointed. The course was in fantastic shape and the layout which runs through some natural wetlands was both challenging and beautiful. The clubhouse is brand new and is a must for lunch or dinner. The food was beyond our expectations as well as the staff ! We will definitely be coming back. Thanks Cheval.
I used to play this course a lot a long time ago before they lost the greens and conditions deteriorated. I went back there yesterday and the place was in great condition. The greens were super amazing and the fairways, although a little dry, were super nice. For all of you locals who stayed away because of the deplorable conditions, give this place a try again and you will find that it is back to being the great course it once was.
MUST READ!! I was very reluctant to play here again because it was a goat track last time I played about 2 years ago. TOTALLY DIFFERENT NOW. They overhauled all the greens (Champion TifEagle now I think) and it is in great shape. It was only about a week since they aerified and the greens were already back. Challenging routing and in superb condition. They lengthend the tee boxes as well which helps it play tougher. Give it another look and you will agree. The only downside is the same as always - houses run the course and the setting is a little boring. Lots of wildlife though despite that reality.
