Tricky layout encouraging thoughtful play (narrow fairways, water left & right, some dog legs with blind play). Greens were ok, fairways sometimes a little worn, bunkers clean but sometimes thin layer of sand. Staff is friendly and straight easy.
Played courses all over the country; this is the worst. Greens not kept up, weeds growing in bunkers. Recommend you play only if they have a $5.00 special.
Played in March this year. Worst conditions I have ever witnessed. Tees were awful and greens had a fungal problem. No evidence that there were any steps being taken to correct anything. Staff was indifferent to our comments.
Decent course among all the local $150/round resort courses in the area. Worth a warm-up round if your traveling to the area. Starter and staff were very nice even with all the tourists.
Played on Feb.7,2011. The course is slightly above average for a public access course. The staff was friendly and the starter quite helpful. The fairways were in pretty good shape and the greens generally equal. Although they were slow, the greens seemed to roll true. The only downside was the bunkers were not in good shape with too many small rocks mixed in the sand. I would rate them as fair to poor. This course is NOT worth the $65 morning rate; however, if played with coupons or in the afternoon to bring the greens fees down to $30-40, it is worth the time to play.
