The course was in very good shape. Greens were quick and true. Found plenty of the sand traps. Considering the course really wasn't very busy when we played (11:00)VERYSLOW play which got a bit frustrating. Waited on every hole from the 4th hole on. Group in front of us had the same problem. Clubhouse snack bar was closed. Water and Ice was available. The pro shop had very limited selection of food and drink. Would like to play it again if pace was better.
i play for university high which plays out of debary and im a scratch player(from the back tees) and it is deffinately the tightest of all the courses in the area but there is no real water in play except the lake off of the 9th and 18th green. but if you play this course right it yeilds fair opertounity on every hole,
We played Debary on 1/12/2009 in four layers, hats and gloves because unfortunetly we caught the coldest few days in Orlando history to schedule a vacation. The fairways and greens were in tip top condition. The course was fair in terms of toughness but not alot of interesting holes due to water coming into play on only 2 holes. The clubhouse was very nice and the food was good although it did take 45 mins to get our order. All together for $44 it was a terrific value and would definetly play it again. I would suggest taking a look at Deltona country club which is nearby, as reasonable and I found it to be more interesting.
