I hadn't played here in about 8 years because I was living on the west coast. This used to be my go to course when it was Diamond Players Club. It was one of my favorites because of the unusual elevation changes. The conditions and service were always good. I hate to give a poor review but this was a bad experience from beginning to end. I arrived early enough to hit a few balls and roll a couple of putts but I was greeted by the starter 'Larry' with "who are you with?". That was quickly followed by "you need to get your playing partner and join up with the group on the tee box because we are busy and I need you to go out early!" The guys we got paired with were from Boston and were great! That and the nice weather were the highlight of the day. The playing conditions were horrendous especially at this price point. Tee boxes were decent but everything else was horrible. Fairways were thin, bunkers eroded, greens slow and patchy. Will not be back anytime soon!
We hav a golf trip to clermont every year and always make a point to play sanctuary twice in the week - a course w a lot of character- rolling hills - really unique Florida golf
This is my new favorite course. Played it twice now. Wow, a true gem. Every hole is memorable. Greens are rolling about 10 now and true. Fairways are good. Elevation changes on nearly every hole and some dramatic. A must play if you are near or not, we drive from Tampa. At $22 believe me, it's worth the drive for our foursome.
Played for the first time earlier this month. Great course with some distinct holes that will stick out in your mind after the round. Clermont always offers various elevation changes that is not common in Florida. The conditions were good, greens were rolling true at a medium speed. Would like to play the course again in the future.
