I love the pine tree lined fairways and consistent conditions. This course is always good year after year. The same people have been in the pro shop forever and they're always friendly. Not the most exciting course, but enjoyable, especially for higher handicaps.
We played the semi-private course. This is a very short course and is highly over-rated. For the price, there are much nicer and better maintained golf courses around the area. Also, the golf shop staff (Glen) was very rude to my Canadian Friends. My friends reserved the T-Time through CanAm. CanAm guidelines required the player to place cash in an envelope and hand it over to the pro-shop staff. Upon arrival we realized we did not have an envelope with us and asked the pro shop attendant if we can use one of his envelopes. He started getting very angry with us because we did not have our own envelope. My friend asked how much the green fees were, and apparently this put him over the edge. He become very rude, started making condescending comments, and told us that if the golf pro was here he would have kicked us out. All of this because we did not have an envelope and did not know the price ahead of time??? Throughout this, my friends and I acted calm, did whatever he asked us to do and did not get into it with him. After the round, I went back and told another staff member about our experience and promised that I will write a review for what we have experienced. Usually I don’t write comments unless I have something really good to say or I am extremely dissatisfied. In this case I made a point to make the time to let everyone know how unprofessional the golf staff was. Obviously this individual had a bad day.
