I play a fair amount of golf and have a handicap of 8.3 and this is probably one of the worst golf courses I have played in Colorado. The layout isn't that bad but that is the only good thing about this course. The upkeep of this course was terrible. The greens were beat to crap, nobody replaces ball marks, they don't rotate the cups. Some of the cups were even beat up. Three greens were just mowed short in the fairway. They send groups off way too close together and the play is the slowest in the state. Over 5 hour round and local say that is fast for this course. Not a ranger on this course. You couldn't even play the correct tees because they move them all up in an attempt to speed up play (which didn't work). Then it was a 90 degree day and no water was to be found on the entire course. They offer cheap rates, but do yourself a favor and pay a few extra buck and go to a real course. The Super of this course should be fired if there is even one.

A good walk spoiled. Have never encountered such a group of douche bags in a pro shop in my life, these guys pretend that they ought to be Pebble Beach. Problem is, I have played Pebble and the staff if great. The course is nice, not in top 10 however. What a joke. I have met CEO's of fortune 500 companies with much better personalities.

CO National is a great deal after 2 PM throughout the week. For ~50.00 or less, the cart is included in the price of the greens fee and course has improved since new ownership purchased the club 3 years ago. With improvements planned for the practice facility, I expect this course to be one of best in the Front Range for years to come. My only negative comment is the staff treats the members of the club much better than the general public. If you can overlook this issue, you will be satisfied with the course and value.

Love this place. Had all new PAC 12 golf cars. Rode in my ASU Sun Devils cart. Course was in awesome shape. Great staff, very helpful in setting up our small group of guys. Restaurant was really, really good.

First time playing this course. Loved it! Very rewarding course if you are a long ball hitter. You don't feel crowed by houses, good spacing. Excellent views of the mountains. Cart girl was out until 7pm. Played the twilight, $35 with cart is not bad at all. Only two things I noticed is pace of play was slow, took 5.5 hours. However, can't blame the course really, we had 3 foursomes in front of us that had no clue what they were doing. The greens are a little rough on some holes, but not bad. Will be back over and over again.

Played Colorado National today, first time and found the course to be a complete disappointment, from torn up, rough dry fairways and greens, to extremely slow play. It took us just under 3 hours to play the front 9, and when we asked why it was so slow the marshal said it normally takes 5 1/2 hours or longer to play 18 holes. There are many much better courses to play in the area so none of us will return to this play.

I was skeptical of the new ownership and now that has changed. The greens are softer and better than the 5 years I have played here. The club actually has golf pros that can break 90 now. A little expensive but easy to find discounted green fees. My favorite front-range course and it beats Omni for $140 per round.

I played this course first a couple years ago when it was Vista Ridge. Since it has changed hands and become Colorado National, there are some notable improvements to frequency of beverage cart while playing, the condition of the greens and the restaurant. The course is amazing with spectacular views. Overall, I like it enough, due to variety of holes and the fact that the front plays so differently than the back nine, that I became a member. Any other members see this, shoot me an email, would love to meet more members and play.
