SLOW PLAY all day. Usually a course will open up after a few holes, not this one. The layout is awful. The 9th hole is not even close to the clubhouse if you want a food or beverage while you are stacked three deep at the turn. During peak season their outer food shack was CLOSED. Overall awful customer service. As far as the golf play, this course is not challenging at all. The greens are not challenging, the length from the back tees is short, scraggly Russian Olive Trees intermittently line each hole and the scenery, on almost every hole, is of the mostly vacant, dirt lot, 4-H arena and barns. The “river” that crosses through the course is a concrete lined irrigation ditch. The course is a cross between desert, parkland and links style and it does none of them well. There are too many other “quality” muni courses in Denver, don’t waste your time playing Riverdale.

Played the course on sunday. Played a good round but hated the customer service. Were told on several occasions to speed up without taking into account the group ahead of us was the cause for the delayed pace of play. Wont be going back

I had an extremely BAD experience at Riverdale Dunes Golf Club this past Sunday. Playing with my wife and two friends while celebrating our 34th wedding anniversay, Jeff Meeker, the head pro, entered our lives. Upon arrival, during check in, Jeff was behind the counter and the line took us 15 minutes to check in ; this resulted in a delayed starting time. When we were coming off of the 9th hole, Jeff was there and said "don't even think about going for a snack, there is a hole open in front of you'. He then said "if we do not catch up with the group in the next two holes that he would come out and bodily remove us from the golf course". This scared the hell out of my wife. I have been playing golf for over 40 years, I am a low handicap and this idiot shouldn't manage ANYTHING, let alone a high customer service business like Riverdale Dunes. The facts are that there was a hole open in front of us BUT there was more than a hole open behind us too. No warning by the many rangers and no one pushing from behind. This guy needs a job without public contact and he definitely needs some serious counseling. My friends and I have spent our last dollar at Riverdale Dunes and every effort will be made to discourage local companies we are friendly with from using Riverdale Dunes for their annual tournaments.
I know we are not the first to complain about Jeff Meeker's transgressions and there are a lot of nice courses in the Denver area.

We had a horrible experience today at Riverdale. I am a long time customer of this golf course and will not be going back due to the lack of communication and customer service by a counter clerk named Jeff. He has horrible customer service skills and is a straight up a$$. I called to make a tee time to catch 9 holes before i had to pick up my son from school being that it was such a beautiful day and Jeff told me that the course was WIDE open and to come on out, i again asked if there was any need to make a tee time due to my son getting out of school and he again stated come on out we are wide open and well get you right on. Well upon arriving to the course Jeff advised me that it would be a 20 minute wait, i told him this is why i called to make a tee time to ensure i could walk on to play and he said well stuff happens and people walk in at any moment. I told him my situation and he said he could get me on the Dunes for another $10. I told him this is not what i was told and tried to explain why i was upset and he cut me off and told me to listen to him, being the customer that pretty much pissed me off. I asked him if he could just get onto the Dunes and honor the price of the Knolls because we could walk on and play and because of the situation and he said no way. Would this have hurt him or the company to make a long time customer who is having a horrible experience happy, i think not!?! much At this point i advised him that i would not be coming back to this course altough i have been there 30+ time in recent years due to his incompetence and customer service skills and he laughed at me. WOW customer service at its best. I will not be playing here anymore and will make sure to spread the word as well. When someone suggests we play RiverDale i will say lets find somewhere else. Besides it cost $22.50 for 9 holes to ride on the Knolls (where they dont even have a map with hole set-ups or yardage, only the Dunes) and it only cost $24 to ride 18 at ThornCreek which is a much nicer course. Take your business somewhere else! Jeff needs to be taught the basics of customer service and the boss needs to figure out the customer service at this place. Its ridiculous to get treated like crap going to enjoy a game of golf? I have had other issues here to....I left a 60 degree wedge on the course and went to the front desk to ask if anyone turned it in and left my info, went back to play about a week later and was talking to cart boy about my club and he said it was in the clubhouse. I went and asked for it and the guy looked around behind the counter and said it wasnt there, i advised him the cart boy told me it was and he talked to his manager and then reached down behind the counter and handed it to me...IT HAD A PRICE TAG PUT ON IT,,,,they were going to sell my club and didnt want to give it back! Place is ridiculous and you can find a much nicer course with better deals in the are. DO NOT give them your business they do not know how to treat people!

Great "city style" course. Well maintained, doesn't go by the clubhouse so you have to utilize the cartgirl and snackshack. But had a great time on this course, love the layout.
