This club hosts events for the surrounding area. This year they hosted the 4th of July. It was a nightmare! They did not provide anything they advertised or they had run out long before we arrived - No popsicles, No Ice cream, No WATER, No popcorn, No Porta Johns, No glowsticks, etc. However that isn't my biggest complaint. Our cooler holding 5 bottles of water and my youngest sons medicine was confiscated from us by their Director of Events. My husband and I tried to explain to him that we needed the cooler to keep my sons meds cool, and he needed to have "safe food and drinks" at all times. He refused to let us bring it in- telling us that we would be able to buy them once we arrived. When we arrived they had run out of EVERYTHING but BEER! Long story short - after 45 minutes of waiting on water, a stranger gave my crying toddler a bottle of warm water. We were forced to leave. I could continue to elaborate on how poorly this event was ran but honestly we just wanted to inform the owner Jeff and let him know about the staff DISCRIMINATING against a handicapped child. Did I mention that our child became ill after this event, his physician told us Due to dehydration? After several and by several I mean about 15 calls to him and no response we felt it best to let the public know so they don't suffer the same fate as it is clear Johnson Ranch Golf Club does not follow Federal Laws pertaining to Discrimination or common sense for that matter.

The people in the shop are very nasty and the same goes for the people who are volunteers. Basically, if you're not a member, they treat you like dirt. The range is only 310 yards and the houses at the end don't put up nets so in the Arizona heat, if you hit it past 310, then they tell you you cannot hit driver. Completely stupid, they should take the $10 they charge people to hit and put up some nets. Overall, the course has a decent layout and the maintenance isn't too bad, but in Phoenix, I'd look for another place to play.
